    Annual Freestyle Dance Competition

    The annual freestyle dance competition is an event organized by Tashi Cell, one of the two cellular service providers in the country, an event that celebrates and provides a platform for the opportunity hungry youth population to showcase their dancing skills in a bid to make a name for themselves. Conceived in the hope of harnessing the potentials of the otherwise vulnerable youth population and have them do something productive during the school vacation to keep them away from unwanted distractions. The event usually commands a huge crowd at the famous clock tower center.

    Dragon’s Fury (60 km) is the shorter version of Bhutan’s Tour of the Dragon ultra marathon mountain bike race (268 km), one of the toughest one-day mountain bike races in the world. The race starts at Messina (1410 m / 4265 ft), takes you through stunning rural countryside, passes one of Bhutan’s highest motor passes (3150 m / 10,330 ft) and ends in the capital city, Thimphu (2330 m / 7640 ft).
